PARADE ENTRY REGISTRATION
To participate in the parade, please fill out the application using the button below. PLEASE NOTE: you MUST fill out an application AND submit the registration payment to reserve a spot in the parade. Only doing one or the other does not reserve a spot in the parade.
The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce will host the Light Up The Night Hillsborough Holiday Parade on Sunday, December 6, 2026, beginning at 4:00 pm. Downtown Hillsborough will welcome thousands of residents and visitors to enjoy the popular annual event organized by the Chamber.
The parade will feature dignitaries such as Mayor Mark Bell and NC State Representatives, marching bands, local businesses, cheerleaders, dance troupes, classic cars, floats, and, of course, Santa Claus!
The parade will travel through downtown Hillsborough, south on Churton Street from Corbin Street to Margaret Lane and end at the intersection of Margaret Lane & Cameron Street. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out early to enjoy holiday shopping and a bite to eat before the parade, as well as to secure parking and a favorite viewing spot.
PLEASE NOTE: The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will NOT take place after the parade. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 5th in conjunction with Photos with Santa, choral group performances, games, and other family-friendly festivities at the Hillsborough Visitors Center on Margaret Lane, followed by the Tree Lighting at the Old Courthouse.
